The Myo-Khami people, originally from Paletwa, have resettled in Hlegu Township due to displacement. Known for their traditional jet-cut textile weaving, Myo-Khami women faced challenges in sustaining their livelihoods after relocation.

A Market Linkage Event held on January 25, 2025, showcased 30 women-led MSMEs and connected Myo-Khami textiles to new markets.

The event drew over 100 participants, including Rotary leaders, CEOs, bank officials, and diplomats—demonstrating strong support for women’s economic empowerment.
